Slip and fall outside casino leads to premises liability claim

With a large number of casinos and other entertainment establishments on the Las Vegas Strip and the multitudes of visitors to these businesses, property owners and managers have enormous tasks in maintaining premises that are free of safety hazards. Under Nevada state law, property owners may face premises liability claims if visitors to their establishments suffer injuries due to negligence on the part of the property owners or their staff. This includes indoor and outdoor areas of the facilities.

Reno police investigating 3-car auto accident with injuries

Several people suffered injuries in a crash that occurred in Nevada on a recent Monday afternoon. The accident report states that the auto accident happened in Cold Springs, and it involved three vehicles. Reno authorities were summoned to the accident scene on a local roadway not far from U.S. 395 shortly before 2:30 p.m.

Alleged drunk driver kills motorcyclist, injures own passenger

Operating vehicles while intoxicated can have devastating consequences for passengers and others on or near the roadway. It is often noted that many a drunk driver who causes serious injuries and death to others walk away from the collision unscathed. The Nevada Highway Patrol recently reported one such a tragedy.

Gym sued for premises liability after treadmill accident

Many people in Nevada believe that exercise at a gym can only be beneficial. In fact, 24,000 victims of treadmill accidents were treated in emergency rooms nationwide in 2014. This information was provided by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. A gym in another state will go to trial regarding a premises liability lawsuit in February after a client suffered brain injuries while exercising.
