Woman dies in crash caused by an alleged negligent driver

Cities in Nevada are thriving these days, and populations are on the rise. With an increasing population comes an increase in the number of vehicles sharing the road, which in turn leads to more accidents. Navigating increasingly crowded roadways can be a difficult task, one that becomes even more difficult when faced with careless or distracted drivers. Recently in Las Vegas, a woman was killed in an accident caused by an alleged negligent driver.

The accident occurred during the afternoon hours on a busy Las Vegas highway. According to reports, a southbound SUV ran a red light and collided with a car. The force of the collision caused injuries to both drivers.

The driver of the SUV suffered only minor injuries and was treated at the scene. However, the driver of the car suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local medical center where she later died. She was 61 years old. Las Vegas police say this was the 47th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas this year.

With the constant barrage of distractions facing motorists these days, it goes without saying that not everyone is careful and totally focused behind the wheel. Distracted drivers, combined with increasingly crowded roadways, make traffic accidents almost inevitable. Those in Nevada who suffer injuries or the loss of a loved one due to an accident caused by a seemingly negligent driver can take legal action. A successfully litigated lawsuit can result in much-needed compensation that can be used to cover mounting medical expenses as well as other financial losses.
