Students can be involved in auto-pedestrian accidents

As summer winds down and students return to school in Nevada, there will be an increase in foot traffic along busy roadways. Motorists should take caution and reduce speed when entering school zones. Children walking to and from school could be susceptible to auto\-pedestrian accidents. Unfortunately, not all drivers are as focused as they should be behind the wheel, especially with the ever increasing amount of distractions these days. Police are seeking information after a car allegedly struck a young girl in Reno and fled the scene

The dangers of drowsy drivers in Las Vegas

If you live in Las Vegas, you know it is the city that parties all night. Tourists come for the weekend and stay all night gambling, drinking and shopping. While there is nothing inherently wrong with this behavior, it becomes a problem when these people drive. Whether they drove into town with their own car or rented a vehicle, these people can cause serious accidents if they drive while intoxicated.

Pedestrian accidents are often fatal

These days, traveling on foot along busy Nevada city streets can be very risky. An increasing amount of foot traffic combined with distracted or impaired drivers can be a recipe for disaster. Laws exist that protect pedestrians, but despite these laws, accidents involving automobiles and pedestrians seem to be occurring more frequently. Unfortunately, pedestrian accidents are often fatal since pedestrians are more exposed. One such accident recently happened in Las Vegas and left a pedestrian dead.

The dangers of failing to yield when making a left turn

Two drivers traveling on a Nevada roadway in opposite directions may have different responsibilities under the Nevada motor vehicle rules, particularly if one decides to make a turn. A motorist who forgets this obvious but necessary rule puts him or herself and others at great risk of injury or even death.

Car accidents can have tragic consequences

Crashes seem to be happening more and more due to the increased volume of traffic on Nevada roadways these days. Unfortunately, thousands of people are involved in automobile crashes each year. Even minor accidents such as fender benders can cause unwanted stress to those affected. Car accidents can be very traumatic experiences, but when the at-fault driver flees the scene, it only exacerbates the trauma and stress of those involved. Las Vegas police are seeking information after a driver fled the scene of a recent fatal accident.
