Nevada car accident injures 3 when driver falls asleep

When a person is injured in a Nevada car accident, their families may experience a mixture of anxiety and frustration. This is especially true if their loved one wasn't the person who caused the car accident. The injured victim in Nevada has the right to pursue monetary damages, which can help to cover expenses resulting from the collision.

Two families are dealing with this situation after their loved ones were injured in a Nevada car accident reportedly caused by a man who fell asleep at the wheel. This man was driving south when his vehicle moved over to the center lane. There, it struck a Jeep vehicle that was part of oncoming traffic.

The Jeep spun around and ended up going into the northbound lanes. That's when it was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle. All three individuals involved in the accident were transported to a hospital. The driver who fell asleep at the wheel suffered minor injuries, while the two other victims suffered serious injuries.

The people who were injured in the car accident have the right to file a personal injury lawsuit seeking reimbursement of monetary damages. Falling asleep at the wheel could actually be considered an act of negligence. Proof that the driver who caused the accident fell asleep may be used to establish liability in civil court. If a personal injury suit is successful, the financial damages that are awarded can cover expenses associated with injuries sustained in the crash, such as medical expenses. Once liability is established to the satisfaction of the civil court in Nevada, claims for monetary damages will be adjudicated.
