A Nevada accident left two injured, and it is possible that a negligent driver was the cause. Las Vegas police have been investigating a crash that occurred when an elderly woman drove through a red light. As the possible negligent driver rolled through the intersection, her vehicle collided with another motorist. The impact also caused damage to a parked car. It is believed that the woman simply ran the red light, which could be considered negligent driving.

The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital. The other driver and passenger sustained minor injuries, but the nature of these injuries is not clear. Nevada police have not indicated if they believe that drugs, alcohol or other factors had played a contributing role in the accident.

Although it is not clear what specifically caused the accident, it could be assumed that this is a case of negligent driving. Even though the cause of the car crash was likely accidental, it is possible that the woman could be held liable for causing the accident. In addition to the physical injuries that she herself suffered, she may be deemed liable for additional damages and injuries that resulted from the accident.

Negligent driving can include actions such as reckless driving or speeding, or maybe something as simple as a negligent driver not paying attention. No matter what the reason, accidents caused by this type of driving could leave victims eligible for financial compensation. When considering a wrongful death or personal injury suit, it is best to examine one’s options and determine the best way to proceed.
