Regardless of how an accident occurs in Nevada, it can result in serious and sometimes life-altering injuries. In some cases, the auto accident may even result in the death of several people involved in the wreck. Head-on collisions and wrong-way accidents are two of the most deadly of all accidents on the roads. The reason for this is because the vehicles are typically driving at a high rate of speed and their speed is combined when they strike one another.

Unfortunately, an alleged wrong-way head-on collision has resulted in the death of two individuals. The accident took place outside of Las Vegas. Authorities say that a vehicle was traveling the wrong way on the highway. It eventually struck another vehicle head-on.

Both drivers were male and pronounced dead at the accident scene. No passengers were in either vehicle. At this time, an investigation is ongoing as authorities try to determine why the driver was not driving the correct way.

Nevada residents who are involved in any type of motor vehicle accident that was caused by the negligence of another driver often suffer physically, emotionally and financially. It isn’t uncommon for medical bills, funeral expenses or other such costs to quickly accumulate following an accident. A personal injury claim may be able to recoup those expenses.

For accidents in Nevada where the victim was killed, the family of the deceased victim may be able to file a wrongful death claim in order to recover damages. A successful claim may be able to provide the family with a sense of justice being served. In this particular case, the driver likely at-fault for the auto accident was killed as well, so the victim’s estate may be able to sue the apparent at-fault driver’s estate for damages.
