Pedestrian accident spurs questions about intersection safety

A pedestrian accident on Blue Diamond Road that claimed the life of a 14-year-old girl has raised questions about the safety of the intersection. After the pedestrian accident, community residents expressed concerns about the intersection, spurring the state to install a traffic light. The new traffic light also came with a cross walk and the process was expedited with the help of the Nevada governor.

Man dies in possible DUI auto accident in Nevada

Alcohol can be a dangerous drug, especially when behind the wheel of a car. Motorists who drive while under the influence of alcohol are more likely to end up causing an auto accident which results in injury or even death. Unfortunately, this may have been what happened in a recent fatal crash on a highway in Nevada.

Motor vehicle crash in Las Vegas claims life of motorcyclist

Motorcycle riding is a very popular activity across the country, including here in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, motorcyclists are at a higher risk of being involved in a motor vehicle crash. Because motorcyclists lack the same level of protection as a person within an enclosed vehicle, the injuries are often very severe and sometimes fatal. This appears to be the case in one accident that occurred recently in Nevada.

Lawsuit follows swimming pool injuries and subsequent death

When activities such as summer camps are offered, Nevada parents should not have to be concerned about the safety of their children. The organizers of such activities are responsible for the safety of every child who attends the camp. Different activities may require different safety measures, and the camp officials have a duty to ensure the presence of competent personnel that could handle any potential injury. Two villages and park districts in another state are facing a lawsuit after the death of a boy who suffered swimming pool injuries while attending a day camp.
