Nevada auto accident leads to the death of a driver

Many individuals know that impairment can easily lead to car accidents and serious injuries. Authorities may not know right away whether drugs or alcohol may have contributed to an auto accident, but tests results can often help shed light on the specifics of the incident. If an accident involving a potentially impaired driver results in a fatality, the family of the victim may wish to pursue a civil case.

The family of a woman in Nevada may be looking into such options after a recent accident. It was reported that the woman was traveling when her vehicle was hit by an SUV. The collision took place at approximately 7:30 p.m., and the intersection where the accident occurred was shut down for an extended period of time.

It was reported that the woman was transported to an area hospital after the crash, but she unfortunately succumbed to the injuries that she suffered. The driver of the SUV was also taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries. At this time, authorities do not have a specific cause for the accident, but it was reported that impairment and speed could have possibly contributed.

The impacts that a fatal auto accident can have on the surviving family members are almost indescribable. They may face emotional upheaval and monetary losses as they work through the results of the accident. Because a fatal crash can lead to much distress, the family may want to consider their legal options for seeking restitution for their loss and other damages that may be permissible under Nevada law.
