There may be wrong-way signs to prevent entering an interstate ramp in the wrong direction; however, an extremely dangerous situation can occur when these signs are not obeyed. Unfortunately, a negligent driver may not happen to see one of these signs, resulting in a tragic outcome. A recent early morning crash in Nevada resulted in the death of two individuals when a driver was traveling in the wrong direction.

One driver and passenger in a pickup truck were heading in the wrong direction on the interstate. The pickup crashed head-on into a car occupied by a man and a woman. The lives of the pickup’s driver and the car’s passenger were, sadly, taken in the crash.

There is no further information about the deceased at this time. The other two involved in the crash were taken to the hospital and listed in critical condition. It is believed that alcohol may be a contributing factor in this incident, according to the highway patrol.

In similar situations, injured victims in Nevada may be able to file personal injury claims and immediate surviving family members of deceased victims may have the right to file wrongful death claims against the negligent drivers who caused their accidents, or those drivers’ estates in cases in which they are deceased. Any compensation awarded from a successful personal injury claim can help victims and their families with medical expenses and compensate them for pain and suffering. Monetary damages awarded from a wrongful death claim, in which a negligent driver may have been the cause, can be very helpful when facing unexpected end-of-life expenses.
