Several people suffered injuries in a crash that occurred in Nevada on a recent Monday afternoon. The accident report states that the auto accident happened in Cold Springs, and it involved three vehicles. Reno authorities were summoned to the accident scene on a local roadway not far from U.S. 395 shortly before 2:30 p.m.
Crash investigators said the accident was believed to have been caused by a northbound driver who failed to stay in her lane and crossed into the southbound traffic lane. A head-on collision with another sedan followed, and a minivan then smashed into the rear of this car. First responders arrived at the accident scene to find multiple injuries.
The 23-year-old driver who crossed over the center line was transported to a hospital, and so was a 4-year-old toddler who was in the car with her. The child’s injuries were said to life threatening. The occupants of the minivan — two children and a 31-year-old woman — suffered no injuries. The 45-year-old driver of the car that was first struck was also rushed to a hospital for medical treatment.
Whenever injuries are suffered in an auto accident that was caused by another party’s negligence, the injured victim is entitled to seek recovery of damages. To do this, a personal injury lawsuit can be filed in a Nevada civil court. For such a claim to be successful, the plaintiff must establish negligence before the court. All documented claims for economic losses suffered and emotional damages sustained will then be considered before a monetary judgment can be entered.
