Driving is one of the most dangerous daily activities in the lives of Nevada citizens. Due to the volume of traffic on roadways these days, accidents are practically inevitable and can happen in the blink of an eye. Unfortunately, not everyone is careful and focused behind the wheel, especially when alcohol is a factor. Recently, an alleged negligent driver caused an accident in Las Vegas that resulted in the deaths of three women.
According to reports, the alleged negligent driver sped past a stop sign and collided with a car containing a driver and four passengers. The sudden impact resulted in the death of three female passengers. The two other occupants of the car and the alleged driver at fault were also injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. Police say that speeding and alcohol appear to have been factors in the crash.
Nearby residents claim that speeding is often a main factor in accidents at this location. Tragically, this fatal accident has far-reaching ramifications. Two of the deceased victims were mothers to several young children. The allegedly impaired driver could be facing a wrongful death charge, as well as a myriad of other serious charges.
Nevada roadways are becoming increasingly crowded and dangerous. Losing a family member is an experience that no one wants to face, especially when loved ones are lost due of the actions of a negligent driver. Victims, including the surviving family members of deceased victims, have the right to take legal action. A successful lawsuit could result in compensation to the victim’s family that can be used to cover funeral and burial expenses, as well as cover other financial losses.
