The state of Nevada is in the midst of a population boom, making roadways across the state more crowded than ever before. Navigating these roadways can be one of the most challenging tasks in the daily lives of Nevadans. More vehicles sharing the road means a higher risk of encountering a negligent driver. A recent accident in Las Vegas left one motorist dead and another motorist in handcuffs.
The accident occurred at a busy Las Vegas intersection. According to accident reports, the driver of a Ford Mustang collided with the driver of a Honda Accord. Police reports say the driver of the Honda failed to obey a stop sign and caused the crash.
Police stated that they had received a call about a reckless driver speeding through the area just before the accident occurred. Tragically, the crash resulted in the death of the driver of the Mustang. The driver of the Honda was arrested for DUI and booked into a local detention center.
Unfortunately, not everyone in Nevada is focused and careful behind the wheel these days, especially when alcohol is involved. Losing a family member is an experience that no one wants to face, especially when a loved one is lost due to no fault of his or her own. What can be done if a fatal accident was caused by a negligent driver? Legal action can be taken. A successfully litigated lawsuit could result in much-needed compensation to the victim’s family to cover end-of-life expenses, as well as cover other financial losses.
