Its no secret that Walmart is one of the largest corporations in the United States, with several stores in the state of Nevada. With a business as large as Walmart, it is of the utmost importance to keep stores safe and free of hazards for both shoppers and employees. When spills happen within stores, busy workers can delay the clean up of these spills and other debris left on floors. These are potential hazards to customers that can cause slip-and-fall accidents. Recently in another state, a lawsuit was filed after a woman allegedly slipped and fell in a Walmart store.

According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff was shopping in a Walmart in the dog food aisle. Allegedly, the plaintiff slipped on water that had been previously spilled. She fell on the concrete floor. The plaintiff claims that she did not see the water on the floor was trying to proceed safely through the aisle.

The woman claims the fall caused injuries to her head, neck, lower back and hips. She also claims to have experienced nausea, numbness from the waist up and a momentary loss of consciousness due to the fall. The lawsuit asserts that the plaintiff was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The woman and her husband are seeking compensatory damages.

Although most stores in the state of Nevada are safe, slippery substances on a floor or negligent maintenance on a property can result in an accident and injuries to shoppers. Victims injured in these type of slip-and-fall accidents can take legal action. A successful lawsuit could result in a monetary award that could be used to cover medical expenses and other financial losses.
