Patience is key in preventing car wrecks

Roadways in Nevada and across America these days are crowded and fraught with peril. An increasing number of vehicles sharing the road means highways and byways quickly become congested. Road rage is becoming a real issue in today's world as increasingly impatient drivers deal with traffic jams and a host of other modern distractions. Angry and impatient drivers lead to aggressive driving maneuvers that can cause car wrecks and endanger the lives of all those around them. According to recent statistics, 66 percent of all traffic fatalities in the United States are caused by aggressive driving.

Authorities say a recent fatal accident on Interstate 15 in Nevada may be the result of road rage and aggressive driving. Four vehicles were involved in the crash. Reports say the driver of a Jeep lost control while attempting to pass a BMW, striking the BMW. The impact caused the BMW to cross over the median where it collided with a Mini Cooper traveling in the opposite direction.

A Nissan SUV also crashed into the area. Tragically, the driver of the Mini Cooper was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers of the Nissan SUV and the driver of the Jeep were injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police suspect that road rage may have contributed to the accident.

It has been said that patience is a virtue, and this could not be more true when it comes to driving on today's congested roadways. Unfortunately, few drivers these days practice patient driving habits. Road rage and aggressive driving are becoming common occurrences. Nevada residents that have suffered injuries in car wrecks may be entitled to take legal action. A successful claim could provide victims and families with much-needed and deserved financial relief.
