Dangers abound on today’s roadways, especially in crowded cities across the United States. With populations booming in the state of Nevada, city streets are constantly bustling with traffic. Unfortunately, there will always be drivers that are not as cautious and focused as they should be behind the wheel. Crowded streets combined with inattentive, distracted drivers is a recipe for accidents. Any accident can be a serious matter, but some car accidents can prove to be fatal.

A recent accident in Carson City resulted in the tragic death of a woman. The accident occurred at a popular intersection during the early morning hours. Investigation reports indicate the driver of a Ford pickup truck ran a red light at the intersection.

According to reports, the pickup truck was northbound and approached the intersection. The driver of a Buick was westbound attempting to cross the intersection and was struck on the driver’s side by the pickup truck as it ran through a red light. Both the driver and passenger in the Buick suffered serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Tragically, the driver of the Buick later died from her injuries.

Accidents such as this can happen at any time in any Nevada city. Drivers should always be extra cautious and remain focused behind the wheel to avoid accidents. It seems, however, that car accidents are becoming almost inevitable. Families that have lost a loved one due to no fault of their own in a car accident may be able to pursue claims for damages, including their pain and suffering.
