Life is uncertain and accidents can happen any place at any time. These days, drivers must be focused and attentive at all times. Roadways in Nevada and across the United States are becoming increasingly crowded and filled with distracted and reckless drivers. Car accidents are happening more frequently and can have deadly consequences.
A recent crash in Las Vegas resulted in the death of two people. Authorities say the crash may be the result of street racing. According to reports, the accident happened during the nighttime hours on Sahara Avenue. An Acura Integra was speeding and possibly racing another vehicle, authorities say. Apparently, the driver of the Acura lost control and crossed lanes into oncoming traffic.
Reports say that the Acura collided with a Dodge Durango containing two people. A passenger in the Acura was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver died a short time later at a hospital. Police said the two occupants of the Dodge were injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Driving is a privilege that is taken for granted far too often. It is unfortunate that so few drivers these days are safe and patient behind the wheel. Things like distracted or reckless driving only contribute to car accidents. Those in Nevada that have been injured in car accidents due to the negligence of another party may be able to take legal action. A successful claim could result in compensation to help with pain and suffering as well as medical expenses monetary damages.
