One of the few guarantees in life is that accidents are going to happen. Some accidents are minor, and nothing more than mild inconveniences. However, some accidents can have life-altering consequences. Nevada residents and visitors are at risk for car accidents as they navigate increasingly crowded and congested roadways across the state. A tragic accident in Las Vegas recently claimed the lives of a newly engaged couple.
The accident occurred during the afternoon hours near a popular Las Vegas intersection. According to reports, a black Toyota Corolla was T-boned by a white Chrysler. Police say the driver of the Chrysler was traveling at a high rate of speed.
Witnesses say the violent collision sent the Corolla airborne, spinning multiple times. The Chrysler crashed into a nearby bank after running over the curb. The two occupants of the Corolla, a newly engaged couple, were pronounced dead at the scene, police say. Witnesses say they offered assistance to the driver of the Chrysler, but he refused and became angry about the incident. Reports say that the man was handcuffed and taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.
Due to the rise in populations across the state of Nevada, more and more vehicles are sharing already crowded roadways. This makes accidents almost inevitable. Most car accidents are minor fender benders, though some accidents can be fatal. Families that have lost a loved one in this type of accident may be able to take legal action. A successful claim could provide much-needed compensation for families facing mounting medical bills and end-of-life expenses.
