As visitors and residents alike enjoy their time in the city, car wrecks are the furthest thing from their minds However, crashes are a leading cause of death and injury in the state of Nevada.
A recent automobile accident in Las Vegas claimed the life of a man. The incident happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of North Grand Canyon Drive and Gilcrease Avenue. Police said a white Pontiac was attempting to make a left turn and pulled into the path of a Campagna three-wheel vehicle that was traveling south on Grand Canyon Drive.
According to reports, the ensuing collision knocked the Campagna into a nearby wall. Authorities said the driver of the Campagna, a 31-year-old man, died on the scene. Reportedly, the driver of the Pontiac suffered minor injuries and a 9-year-old female passenger in the Pontiac was uninjured. Police said this was the 98th traffic-related fatality so far this year in the city of Las Vegas.
Las Vegas streets are frequently congested and constantly bustling with traffic seemingly 24 hours a day. This is most likely a major reason why car wrecks are occurring at higher rate than ever before. Those in Nevada who have been injured or suffered the loss of a loved one in an accident could benefit from discussions with a legal representative. If negligence is proved, a successful lawsuit could provide financial relief for families facing an unending stream of expenses.
