Three men lost their lives recently in a gruesome accident in Reno. Unfortunately, fatal car accidents like this are happening more and more across the state of Nevada. The wrong-way crash happened at night along SR-431. The Nevada Highway Patrol is still seeking information and additional witnesses to the accident.

According to reports, a pickup truck was traveling the wrong direction, headed east in the westbound left lane. Reportedly, a Mercury sedan was traveling west and collided nearly head-on with the pickup truck, with both vehicles coming to rest in the westbound and center lanes of the highway. Authorities said the driver of the Mercury sedan was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene.

Reports say two good Samaritans arrived on the scene only moments after the crash happened and provided help. As the good Samaritans were on the near the driver’s side of the pickup truck, a westbound SUV approached the crash and collided with the pickup truck, police said. Tragically, both of the good Samaritans were killed, according to authorities.

Roadways in Nevada are more dangerous than ever, especially around bigger cities like Las Vegas and Reno. High traffic volumes have resulted in greater numbers of car accidents and traffic fatalities in recent years. Nevada families who have suffered the loss of a loved one due to negligence in an accident should consider seeking the services of a legal representative. A knowledgeable and experienced attorney could provide guidance while helping families obtain much-needed compensation as well as a sense of justice.
