The state of Nevada is experiencing a population boom and rightfully so, as people from all over the world move here to take advantage of the great climate and seemingly endless economic opportunities. Las Vegas, in particular, is one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the country. Because of this rapid growth, roads in Las Vegas have become over crowded and are frequently congested. Due to the high volumes of traffic, car wrecks are happening more and more.

A recent crash in Las Vegas claimed the life of a driver and injured another. The wreck happened during the morning commute on U.S. 95 just south of Lake Mead Boulevard. Investigators say a Honda Civic entered the busy highway and immediately drove across all lanes in an attempt get into the fast lane, failing to yield to existing traffic.

According to reports, the Honda was struck by a southbound Buick sedan. Authorities said the drivers of both vehicles were injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Reports say the driver of the Buick is expected to recover but the driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Roads in and around Las Vegas have become very crowded and dangerous. Unfortunately, not all drivers are focused and alert behind the wheel, which can increase the odds for car wrecks. Nevada residents who are injured in an accident due to the negligence of another party can take action by seeking the services of a legal representative. A successfully litigated claim could result in just compensation to help with medical expenses and other financial losses.
