Motorcycles can definitely be a fun and enjoyable way to travel. The relatively dry weather in Nevada makes this a great state for motorcyclists. However, motorcycles can also be incredibly dangerous, especially on crowded city streets. Due to their smaller profile, motorcycles can sometimes be difficult for other motorists to see, which is a cause of many motorcycle accidents.

Recently, a tragic accident involving a motorcycle in Las Vegas claimed the life of a local high school student. The accident happened near the intersection of West Lake Mead Boulevard and North Buffalo Drive. According to reports, the student was on his motorcycle when a car pulled out of a nearby parking lot and attempted to make a U-turn.

Reports said the car collided with the motorcycle, critically injuring the young motorcyclist. He was rushed to a local hospital where he later died. According to the young man’s family, he had just left his school and was on the way to help a friend with homework when the accident occurred. Reportedly, the driver of the car was also a student at the same school and was uninjured in the crash.

Tragically, accidents involving motorcycles have a higher chance of being fatal since motorcyclists are exposed and minimally protected. Families in Nevada who have suffered the loss of loved ones due to negligence in motorcycle accidents may want to consider discussing the matter with a legal representative. A successfully litigated claim could provide much-needed compensation to help with end-of-life expenses and other monetary losses.
